TRAFFIC MANAGER
Purpose & Scope: To communicate effectively and efficiently with all plant personnel, the corporate sales and transportation teams, outside vendors, and all JBS approved trucking companies.
Principle Responsibilities:
· KPI Management: Responsible for overseeing department targets and controls. Monitor issues within departments that affect your KPIS and communicate the issues effectively.
· To ensure effective communication at all levels and complete all necessary administrative work. Actively resolve problems that team members raise to you. Provide positive feedback and constructive criticism to help build their confidence and to develop their skills. Responsible for coaching and discipline of team members.
· To communicate daily needs to all carriers, shag service, and vendors needed for supplies.
Working Conditions:
• Office Setting with some floor and outdoor activity.
• Slippery floors, cold temperatures, and loud ambient noise
Education:
• High School degree or equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field preferred
· Experience: Proven previous experience with transportation and scheduling.
Special Skills:
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally in English
• Excellent conflict resolution skills
• Computer knowledge required
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to work 50 hours
• Good attendance and safety records
• Bi-lingual helpful, but not required.
Relationships:
Internal: Employees on the production line and plant management
External: USDA and Union
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Experience working in a food manufacturing environment applying common processes, procedures and equipment. Experience managing in a chilled food manufacturing business preferred.
· Must have a good understanding of continuous improvement production techniques and use the tools to deliver improved performance.
· Must have a demonstrable record of delivery through being a team player.
· Must have great attendance and availability.

Comments: The schedule for this position is typically Mon - Saturday or as needed after hours.

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
- Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
- Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
- 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
- Base annual salary range of $68k-75k
- Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and
