About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Facilities Manager to join our team at JBS USA. This individual will oversee overall plant maintenance, including scheduling, planning, prioritizing work, purchasing, employee supervision, training and development.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the company safety policy and procedures are adhered to in direct and indirect areas of the plant. Additionally, they will be responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety, HAACP, and government programs.
This role involves directing assigned employees in the performance of approved maintenance work, advising superiors and other appropriate members of the maintenance department of equipment failure or items requiring maintenance, and ensuring the production department receives prompt, efficient, and quality service required to operate at maximum efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to company safety policies and procedures
- Direct assigned employees in maintenance work
- Advising superiors on equipment failure and maintenance needs
- Ensuring production department receives quality service
- Reducing production downtime due to mechanical failure or maintenance issues
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3-5 years background experience in general industrial maintenance
- General knowledge of machinery in plant
- Background knowledge in hydraulic, welding, and PLC training
- Ability to communicate fluently in English (Bilingual preferred)
- Strong computer skills
- Interpersonal skills
