The Opportunity ...
As our Human Resources Manager, – you will report to the Regional Human Resources Director. You will be a strategic partner to the leadership team, and an agent of change. You will execute human resources activities related to the management of employee relations, training and development, compensation administration, and compliance. You will take part in committees and special projects that improve relationships and build moral across the team.
On a given day, you may:
- Partner with VP/GM on staff retention, employee engagement, business performance, performance management and leadership.
- Ensure regulatory compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource laws and regulations, maintaining records, and representing the organization at hearings.
- Identify training needs, determine cost effective solutions, coordinates, implements and evaluates the effectiveness of the training.
- Assist managers with developing internal talent.
- Consult with site leaders and provide guidance regarding employee relations.
- Conduct investigations and recommend corrective action.
- Consult with managers regarding progressive discipline,
- Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures.
- Partner with site leaders to manage headcount and staff for open positions.
- Conduct exit interviews and use data and build retention strategies.
- Recommend pay actions and assist in the preparation and administration of bonus plan.
- Support corporate and division diversity initiatives.
- Oversee and nurture the growth of a team consisting of two direct reports.
- You must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.
Requirements for the role
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
- HR certification preferred.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in HR roles with progressive responsibility required.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience working within a manufacturing environment required.
- Experience with FLSA, state, local and federal employment laws.
Travel & Location
- You will work onsite at our Sandusky office.
- Occasional travel may be required.
