KITTING SME

Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the Kitting Department to support Contract Planning. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, works well with cross-functional teams, and ensures smooth production processes. Knowledge of Traverse software is a plus.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Production Planning & Execution: Develop and execute production plans by collaborating closely with Team Leaders and Production Operators to ensure efficiency and on-time delivery.
• Work Order Preparation: Prepare Work Order documentation and sequencing before handing it off to Production.
• Communication & Coordination: Provide timely updates on contract status to Management as required.
• Manufacturing Drawings Interpretation: Read and interpret manufacturing drawings (blueprints) to ensure proper kit preparation.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Work effectively with various departments outside of Kitting to support overall company goals.
• Kitting Support: Assist Contract Planning team with kitting-related tasks as needed including pre ship kitting and wrapping.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for efficiency and contribute to the continuous improvement of kitting processes.
• Computer Proficiency: Utilize software tools (including Traverse, Microsoft Office, etc.) to manage and track production tasks.
• Independent Work & Task Management: Work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and stay focused on objectives. There will be an expectation to support extended hours during the work week and/or weekends as needed.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and multiple departments
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience in production planning and execution
• Excellent communication skills to relay status updates to management
• Computer proficiency (knowledge of Traverse is a plus)
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and stay on task
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
