The Opportunity:
Our client is seeking a hands-on, strategic Controller to serve as the first full-time accounting hire. You’ll be responsible for establishing and owning the company’s financial infrastructure—closing the books, managing cash flow, building financial models, and supporting investor communications. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys building from the ground up, and wants to play a key role in scaling a fast-growth business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own all accounting and financial operations, including month-end close, cash management, and reporting
- Build and maintain financial models and forecasts to guide strategic decisions
- Partner with the executive team on investor pitch decks and support the Series A fundraising roadshow
- Establish scalable accounting processes and controls in preparation for future hires post-Series A
- Collaborate cross-functionally to provide insights on margins, production costs, and contract profitability
- Ensure financial compliance and audit readiness as the company grows
What Our Client Is Looking For:
- Strong foundational accounting experience (CPA preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (required)
- Proven ability to manage full-cycle accounting and financial operations
- Experience in startups, manufacturing, or high-growth environments a plus
- Skilled in financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic planning
- Excellent communicator, especially with executive leadership and investors
- Ambitious, detail-oriented, and ready to scale with the business
