What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Accounting Admin Assistant position at JC Stoddard Construction?
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant for a part-time, on-site position in San Antonio, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction accounting and excellent organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable, including posting invoices, verifying statements, and handling ACH payments and subcontractor payments
- Assist with monthly AIA Progress billings, accounts receivable, and client collections4
- Reconcile credit card statements and code expense receipts
- Perform administrative duties such as filing and copying
- Handle general accounting tasks, including invoice preparation, budget entry, and AIA pay application processing
- Support monthly bank statement reconciliations, closings, journal entries, and provide backup for office staff
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of construction accounting, and financial procedures
- Proficiency in construction accounting software (Sage 100 Contractor preferred) and Office 365 (Excel, adobe).
- Familiarity with the construction industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Strong organizational skills.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.50 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 30 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
