J.C. Wilkie Construction, Lexington SC is seeking a Civil estimator to join our fast-growing team.We are a large, regional site contractor performing construction for new installation of water, sewer, and storm drainage systems as well as grading and road building. Our company offers a multitude of benefits to include, Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Vacation, Paid Holidays, 401k, and Profit Sharing.Position Responsibilities : Analyze plans : Interpret plans, regulations, and codes of practice, experience in reading civil plans, performing take offs.Calculate costs : Estimate the cost of materials, labor, and equipment.Create budgets : Work with stakeholders to develop a budget for the project.Prepare estimates : Use software to calculate costs and timeframes, and prepare final estimates, experience with various computer programs such as AutoCAD, Heavy Bid, MC2, and Bid 2 Win is a plus.Collaborate : Work with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractorsManage projects : Oversee and document all aspects of the estimating and bid process.Research : Visit work sites, pull records, and research on behalf of the construction companyMake reports : Prepare reports for other members of the construction team.Required Experience : Must possess a valid Driver’s License2 years Civil Estimating experience preferred.Experience with various estimating programs, AutoCAD, Heavy Bid, Bid 2 WinExcellent communication skills
