Principal Responsibilities:
The Assistant Director-Recruitment, Engagement and Programming is responsible for building a vibrant Jewish community through camper and staff recruitment, program innovation, development, and implementation . Duties include camper and staff recruitment, hiring and supervising overnight summer camp program staff, day-to-day overnight camp program, and planning for improvements and growth. The Assistant Director-Recruitment, Engagement and Programming is also responsible for Family Camps, teen and middle school year-round engagement programming, and summer overnight camp staff program development.

Regular work hours and location: This is a full-time, year-round, exempt position. Regular work hours, during the school year, include expected business hours based in the BB360 Office (in Portland) in addition to frequent evening and weekend events in various cities. Summer Season responsibilities performed at the Camp Site (near Lincoln City) with regular work hours, determined by the Associate/ Camp Director. The Assistant Director is expected to be available for weekends, night-time, and overnights, as needed, and will participate in on-call duty.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Post-graduate work in related field is welcomed
- At least 3 years of experience in youth services, Jewish camping, or similar non-profit work
- Proven leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and to collaborate effectively with several different stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills
- Proven experience with program development and implementation
- Familiarity and comfort with Jewish values and traditions.
- Prioritizes inclusivity within the work that is produced.
- Ability to be flexible and manage change.
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check and, if applicable, fingerprinting.
- Must be able to pass the pre-employment reference checks.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen.
- Must be able to provide a copy of his/her own social security card for W-4 documentation.
- Must be able to provide applicable documentation(s) for I-9 in order to establish identity and authorization to work in the US.
- Must have a valid driver's license, personal automobile liability insurance, and acceptable driving record.
