This full-time position offers a dynamic opportunity to support the organization’s expanding philanthropic portfolio while directly contributing to its high-impact, community-driven mission.

As a key member of a dynamic and expanding four-person team, the Development Manager will be responsible for managing our database and gift acknowledgment processes, coordinating corporate sponsorship initiatives, assisting with communication to our Board of Directors, and planning and organizing donor events. Additionally, the Development Manager will oversee our grants calendar, liaising with both internal and external partners to ensure that deadlines are met and compliance is maintained.

·        Maintain a comprehensive library of grant support documents, including current financial statements, IRS forms, audit management letters, tax-exempt recognition documents, and lists of board members, staff, and major donors.

·        Support the activation and administration of corporate sponsorships, facilitating sponsor engagement, recognition, and fulfillment.

·        Initiate the preparation of funding proposals, grant applications, impact reports, and appeals across the organization’s philanthropic portfolio, leveraging technical expertise and attention to detail in close collaboration with the Financial Resource Development and Programmatic leadership teams.

·        Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of donor events and experiences to enhance engagement and support.

·        Contribute to additional development initiatives as needed.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

·        Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of professional experience in development, nonprofit management, or a related field.

·        Outstanding written communication skills along with strong verbal and interpersonal abilities; capable of engaging effectively with a wide range of stakeholders within a diverse community.

·        Technologically proficient, with a solid command of Microsoft Office and CRM platforms; adept at synthesizing and analyzing data, and quickly learning new database systems, fundraising software, and tools.

·        Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

·        Motivated self-starter and team player with a results-oriented mindset and a strong commitment to professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in donor relations.
