A key member of the Senior Leadership Team, this individual is a self-starter and leads the agency to keep the JCC and its staff, members, and community informed and engaged. The Director of Marketing & Communications leads the agency in developing and implementing marketing and communication plans in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team and programming departments. In addition, this individual maintains primary responsibility for the operations, management, and supervision of the agency's Marketing Department.

Marketing Strategy & Execution
- Develop and direct communication and marketing strategies to various audiences.
- Oversee design and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns.
- Set and achieve strategic marketing goals related to campaign development.
- Manage paid advertising, social media metrics, email, and marketing automation.
- Conduct market research and stay informed on nonprofit sector trends.
- Create, execute, and disseminate print and digital materials.
- Manage the marketing team including graphic designers, marketing manager, and digital media and technology specialist.
- Provide training and support on marketing best practices and tools.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
- Maintain messaging and branding consistency throughout the agency.
- Oversee social media presence to ensure relevance and currency.
- Develop publicity efforts and media relations.
- Act as steward of the organization's reputation.
- Use data-driven approaches to refine marketing strategies.
- Track and analyze performance metrics for all aspects of the marketing mix.
- Develop tools and reports for improved decision-making across the agency.
- Partner with programming departments to support their initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team on marketing materials that support fundraising and stewardship.
- Support department leaders in developing targeted marketing strategies.
- Lead program evaluation, participant surveys, and benchmarking surveys.
- Direct the recruitment efforts of membership, programming, and events.
- Support and develop member and program retention plans.
- Create and manage the marketing department budget.
- Establish and track budgets, analyze financial data.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including excellent grammar and proofreading abilities.
- Self-motivated professional capable of working with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional ability to manage multiple priorities while consistently meeting deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing and communications with proven success developing and executing integrated marketing strategies across traditional, digital, and social media channels.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and track key performance indicators and digital metrics, with experience reporting results to executive leadership.
- Exceptional content creation skills across multiple platforms and media formats.
- Strong project management capabilities with proven track record of prioritizing initiatives, achieving measurable results, and efficiently utilizing resources.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and familiarity with design/artistic programs. Experience with CRM systems preferred.
