The role also has direct management of the Director of Community Engagement who directs Summer Camps; Art/Seniors; Nashville Jewish Film Festival (NJFF); and Events. This person supervises a diverse team ensuring the successful execution of programs and events that align with the organization's mission and strategic goals.

- 5 years of experience in a non-profit program setting for youth and children (fee for service programs)
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution (Master's Degree preferred)
- Experience in non-profit program development and management, event supervision, and strategic leadership with focus on fee for service programs.
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams, manage budgets, and engage with community stakeholders.
- Effective communication, marketing, and public relations skills, with a commitment to the mission of the Gordon Jewish Community Center.
- A sense of humor, responsibility, and excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Excel
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with Jewish culture and traditions preferred but not required.

Program Leadership & Strategy:
- Provide visionary leadership and day-to-day management of all assigned program areas, ensuring that programs are innovative, impactful, and aligned with organizational goals.
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous evaluation of programs, focusing on exceeding KPIs, enhancing participant experience, and ensuring sustainability.
- Collaborate closely with Leadership to shape and execute the strategic direction of the organization, ensuring that all programs and events contribute to the broader mission.
- Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all major events within the program areas, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and participant satisfaction.
- Supervise staff and volunteers during events to ensure smooth operations, addressing any issues promptly and maintaining a positive environment.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to promote events effectively across all relevant neighborhoods, enhancing community engagement and visibility.
- Lead, mentor, and managing a team that includes full-time and part-time staff.
- Provide ongoing professional development opportunities and conduct annual staff performance evaluations
- Ensure an elevated level of member and customer service across all departments, fostering a welcoming and supportive environment for all participants.
- Act as the primary liaison with community organizations, key stakeholders, and partners
- Oversee the annual budgets for all pertinent programs, ensuring that financial goals are met, and resources are effectively managed to support program excellence.
- Participate in grant writing, budgeting, and fundraising efforts, including organizing donor events, securing sponsorships, and other revenue-generating activities.
