Principal Responsibilities :
Neil Klatskin Summer Camps in Tenafly, New Jersey is looking for Head Counselors for our three- and four-year-old campers.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Always ensure the safety and well-being of campers.
- Ensure compliance with camp rules and regulations.
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere within camper groups.
- Manage group dynamics effectively, encourage cooperation and teamwork, and resolve conflict or behavioral issues as they arise.
- Serve as a positive role model for campers and counselors, demonstrating respect, responsibility, and good sportsmanship.
- Monitor camper health and wellbeing, including ensuring proper hydration, sun protection, and adherence to any dietary restrictions or medical needs.
- Daily routine management of the group to help campers and counselors stay organized and on schedule throughout the day.
- Parent phone calls once per session to share an update and answer questions.
- Post weekly photos of campers in our parent portal following camp guidelines.
- Keep accurate records of attendance.
- Evaluate season and share suggestions for the following season.
- Other Duties as assigned.
