Principal Responsibilities :

- Planning for and conducting OASAS EBP groups
- Ensuring correct documentation and input of data
- Evaluating and collecting data as needed for annual reporting
- Observing children, teachers and overall classroom dynamic
- Evaluating and making suggestions for additional services
- Supplying techniques and strategies that support optimum early childhood classroom success
- Aiding in crisis management of children with difficult behaviors
- Meeting with families / parents when requested
- Weekly classroom meetings
- Evaluations or referral services
- Supporting planning and implementation of workshops and support groups
- Aiding in crisis management for children in afterschool programs and aiding other H.E.S. members
- Aiding and supporting all H.E.S. programs, as requested
- Work with Director on ensuring correct documentation is provided in the internship program
- Assist Director in weekly supervision sessions of the interns to ensure growth, support, and structure of each intern
- Work closely with the Pantry staff in assessing the needs for participants, make referrals if necessary
- Organizing and running evidence-based discussion groups aimed at prevention of at-risk behaviors
- Counseling services and behavioral management training to children, parents, families, and staff
- Encouraging and supporting protective behavioral, social, and critical-thinking skills to reduce risks for drug abuse, violence, and other problem-behaviors
- Role-modeling effective problem-solving, decision-making, and assertiveness skills to children in a community setting
- Liaising with managerial, administrative, and direct service staff to promote agency goals and standards at an organizational level
- Keeping accurate and organized notes on group outcomes
