What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Childhood J Safety Ranger Staff (PT) position at JCC Brand?
J Safety Ranger is a unique opportunity for children ages 3 – 6 year old to learn about safety in a dynamic, nurturing environment while having fun outdoors. J Safety Ranger engages children in experiences that help them grow and learn about the world around them.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise children and actively participate in planned daily activities, which may include, but are not limited to art activities, circle games, songs, etc.
- Ensure safety and security of children enrolled.
- Communicate with parents and JCC staff.
Essential Job Duties:
- Supervise children by sight and sound.
- Stand for long periods of time and be able to run and actively engage physically with the children.
- React with physical and mental alertness in emergency situations.
- Demonstrate physical stamina and agility required to be mobile for long periods throughout the day.
- Lift/move materials, equipment or bins up to 40 lbs.
- Move from sitting to standing position easily and quickly.
- Use hands for grasping equipment and play materials.
- Adhere to increased safety guidelines; proactively anticipate potential risk factors in keeping children & staff safe and notify supervisor of concern for need of appropriate adjustments.

Requirements:
Minimum High School Junior; preferred experience working with preschool aged children; dependability, flexibility and adaptability are a must. Demonstrated success leading with energy and enthusiasm!
