Principal Responsibilities:
Title: Receptionist
Reports to: Administrative Manager
Schedule:. Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm
Status: Full-time hourly, non-exempt
Exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team as a full-time receptionist at the Binghamton JCC! As the face of our vibrant community center, you will provide administrative support to our Administrative Manager and Leadership Team. Your responsibilities will include initial correspondence, onboarding new members, registering and receiving payments for all JCC programs, and contributing to marketing and event experiences. Minimum Qualifications:
Responsibilities:
- Answer phone calls and handle incoming inquiries in a prompt and professional manner
- Respond to emails and other electronic communications in a timely fashion
- Welcome visitors and provide general information about the JCC
- Provide initial onboarding for new members
- CRM management including payments and registration
- Operate the front desk and manage the registration process for JCC programs and events
- Receive and record payments for program fees and other transactions
- Provide support for marketing and development initiatives
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree or higher preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn new software systems
- Experience working with CRM's is a plus
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Friendly and approachable demeanor with excellent customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently when needed

Since it's inception in 1927, the Jewish Community Center (JCC) of Binghamton, NY has grown to become an essential part of the Broome County community. As a full-service, non-profit organization, the JCC provides educational, cultural, recreational, and physical fitness programs to enhance the quality of life for all ages, from infants to senior citizens. As a non-sectarian United Way partner, the Center welcomes participants regardless of age, race, religion, sexual orientation, nationality, or ability to pay.
The JCC's facility houses a natatorium with a 2250 square foot pool, full gymnasium, small fitness center, men's and women's health clubs, steam, sauna, a fitness loft with spin bikes and Pilates reformers, full stage and auditorium, and more. Over 300 children are served daily at our award-winning Early Childhood Center. Our year-round educational childcare includes UPK, after school, summer camp, and youth sports programs.
The 8-acre land also features outdoor tennis/Pickleball and basketball courts, pavilion, nature preserve, soccer field, and three age-appropriate playground facilities.
