Job Summary : Member of the Senior Divisional Management Team, providing leadership, administrative direction and professional and clinical standards to the Special Medical Foster Boarding Home Program; Permanency; and other FHS programs as necessary. This Assistant Director will implement and assure quality and timely service delivery to families and children consistent with Agency philosophy and values.Essential Generic Job Functions : Responsible for collaborating with the Program Director of Home Finding as it relates to Medically Fragile bed development from the building of referral resources, to screening intakes, to the matching process, and placement.Responsible for expanding Special Medical Census to its target capacity of 64.Responsible for the oversight and development of Permanency, including KinGap and Adoption.Responsible for the Direct supervision of the Special Medical Supervisors; Socio-therapy Supervisors; and the Permanency Specialist / Coordinator.Provide strategic direction for Special Medical and Permanency in consultation with the FHS Director and Assistant Vice President of FHS.As part of a team, provide direction for staff training, development, and supervision of all program staff.Approve and monitor vacations, absences, work schedules and attendance records for program staff.Coordinate and integrate social work, psychology, psychiatry and medical services in service planning and monthly Special Medical treatment reviews.Support, coordinate and assure delivery of referrals for youth 14 and older to LEAP program, Fair Futures, and WWK when applicable.Represent Foster Home Services on any appropriate New York State and New York City agency meetings.Track adoption and permanency milestones to assure compliance with all regulations.Incorporate all aspects of State and City mandates and assure compliance deadlines with (but limited to) Family Team conferences, Casework Contacts. Permanency Hearing Reports, and Family Assessment Service Plans.Facilitate team and program meetings.Provide back-up coverage in the absence of Administrative Supervisors.Attend bi-monthly Senior Leadership Team meetings.Maintain current knowledge of ACS, OCFS, and Federal Foster Care Regulations.Ensure compliance with Article 29I service delivery and weekly census reporting.Ability to work nights and weekends.Serve as Administrator on Duty on rotating basis for the enter FHS Division.Qualifications Required : Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Counseling, or Public Health. LMSW, LMHC, or LCSW is a plusAt least three (3) Years of Supervisory / Management experienceMust have at least two (2) years of foster care experienceKnowledge Skills and Abilities : Knowledge of core principles and standards for Foster Care and Child Welfare system.Ability to plan, assign, and direct subordinate personnel in a manner conducive to productive performance.Demonstrated ability to collaborate with teams that are culturally and professionally diverse.An understanding of the impacts of institutional and structural racism on the child welfare system and in underserved communitiesProficient with MS Office with the ability to learn new technology platforms; familiar with OCFS CONNECTIONS systemStrong knowledge / experience with ACS and OCFS and managed care requirementsStrong clinical skills and strength-based perspective.Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsPreferred Qualifications : LMSW, LMHC, or LCSWBilingual English / Spanish is a plusSalary Range : $75K - $80K#J-18808-Ljbffr
