Driver (Independent Contractor)

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Driver (Independent Contractor) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials efficiently while ensuring excellent customer service. As an independent contractor, you will have the flexibility to manage your own schedule while adhering to delivery timelines.

Duties

• Own and Operate a Sprinter truck or Cargo van to transport goods along designated routes.
• Perform route driving, ensuring timely and safe deliveries to various locations.
• Handle heavy lifting of packages and materials as required during loading and unloading.
• Utilize a pallet jack for moving large items within the warehouse or delivery sites.
• Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients and recipients.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any necessary documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
• Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in route driving or as a courier is preferred but not required.
• Experience in warehouse operations is beneficial.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands of the job.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
