About the Job – Acquisition Agent and Sales
JCG Land Services is hiring a Right of Way Agent to acquire property rights, easements, and leases for utility and power development projects around the state of Iowa. This hybrid position requires weekday travel, including occasional overnight stays. Office equipment and travel expenses are covered by the employer or reimbursed.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys negotiating deals, working independently, and making a direct impact in land development and infrastructure projects.
Salary & Benefits:
- Hourly Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 (commensurate with experience)
- Mileage Reimbursement: $0.70 per mile (Average annual reimbursement: $16,000 - $24,000)

Key Responsibilities:
- Land & Property Negotiation – Acquire easements, leases, and property rights for utility and infrastructure projects.
- Relationship Management – Build and maintain strong connections with landowners, industry leaders, and stakeholders.
- Property Evaluation – Assess land use, negotiate crop/property damage settlements, and coordinate construction access.
- Project Coordination – Work closely with project teams to track progress, manage landowner records, and interpret project plans.

Minimum Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required but a Plus!):
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Agriculture, or Marketing
- Experience in Sales, Land Acquisition, Real Estate, Customer Service, or Hospitality
- Understanding of construction and agriculture industries
- Willingness to obtain Notary Public designation and Real Estate License
