The Software Developer II plays a key role in designing, developing, testing, debugging, and documenting moderately complex software applications, databases, websites, and systems. This position involves overseeing or directly handling tasks related to process design, program implementation, and policy execution, leveraging advanced expertise acquired through education and professional experience. Responsibilities may include managing projects, providing guidance to junior team members, reviewing their work, and potentially leading initiatives or specific components within larger projects. The individual may act as a subject matter expert in certain application areas, technologies, integrations, or business processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engages in a variety of programming tasks such as designing, coding, debugging, testing, estimating, and documenting software solutions.
- Develops various components of web applications, including .NET APIs, object-relational mapping, Angular modules, event-driven web hooks, and scheduled tasks.
- Collects and interprets system requirements to develop detailed specifications, while also documenting design alternatives and providing recommendations.
- Reviews software modules to ensure adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
- Maintains and enhances existing applications, systems, and databases while ensuring the production of clean, maintainable code.
- Offers technical support, including being on-call for critical issues outside regular business hours (nights, weekends, and holidays). Diagnoses and resolves complex production problems or escalates them as needed.
- Conducts research and analysis to assess the need for new applications, integrations, or system updates.
- Participates in evaluating and selecting third-party software solutions to meet business needs.
- Collaborates with the Scrum team to refine, plan, and execute development tasks within Agile sprints.
- Utilizes Azure analytics to assess and enhance application performance, applying DevOps principles to streamline development, testing, and deployment. Our current technology stack includes Microsoft Azure.
- Performs other duties as required.
Salary : $120,000 - $130,000
