Job Overview
The Infrastructure Engineer I is responsible for designing, analyzing, supporting, and integrating technology solutions across Azure cloud, data centers, servers, storage, and virtualization systems. This position involves participating in an on-call rotation, contributing to team objectives, and managing multiple IT projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate has strong foundational knowledge, demonstrates independent working capabilities, and excels in technical problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and refine infrastructure components to optimize performance, ensuring high availability and alignment with business objectives.
- Drive process improvements by identifying areas to enhance system efficiency, reliability, and operational effectiveness.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery plans to maintain business continuity, alongside creating robust data backup strategies.
- Support the design, implementation, and management of hybrid and cloud environments, including servers, Active Directory, email systems, storage (SAN / NAS), and Azure technologies, while upholding security and scalability standards.
- Introduce and integrate advanced public and private cloud solutions to enhance IT infrastructure capabilities.
- Address and resolve critical infrastructure issues, offering on-call support when required.
- Manage and optimize virtualization technologies to increase flexibility and performance.
- Leverage PowerShell scripting for automating tasks, streamlining workflows, and enhancing system efficiency.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining infrastructure monitoring tools to ensure system reliability and availability.
- Adapt to evolving business needs by taking on additional responsibilities as required.
