The Construction Foreman oversees and coordinates the work of the construction crew on various construction projects. This role requires a hands-on leader with extensive experience in construction, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Manage the project to include interaction with clients and other trades.
- Manage project documentation to include submittals and specifications.
- Mentoring and development of direct reports.
- Maintain clear and effective communications with project manager and subcontractors.
- Assign tasks to construction workers and ensure they are completed efficiently and to quality standards.
- QA / QC Adherence.
- Provide input during the preplanning phase of the project.
- Proactive material management.
- Complete field material takeoff.
- Manage daily and weekly reporting.
- Lead effective daily meetings.
- Participate in manpower projection.
- Monitor the progress of construction activities to ensure they adhere to project schedules.
- Coordinate any prefabrication work that is required for the project.
- Tool Management.
- Assist in planning construction projects, including resource allocation, scheduling, and material procurement.
- Site / laydown housekeeping and organization.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure all workers adhere to safety regulations.
- Employee monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and annual reviews.
- Attending all necessary internal and external meetings.
- Participate in efficient project closeout.
