Role IBM MQ Administration and Support Analyst
Location : Seattle, WA
Type : Full time- Relocation will be paid
- Experience in Red Hat AMQ 7.5.0.GA or higher (Mandatory)
- IBM MQ 8.0 and higher
- Sound knowledge in IBM MQ 8.0, 9.0 and higher environments
- Administration, Maintenance, Deployment, and Integration including installation , uninstallation and configuration of IBM MQ version 8.x & higher
- Experience in Building new Dedicated Queue managers for customers
- Security hardening of MQ to include TLS encryption and Authority / Authentication Records
- Expertise in managing , Upgrading and Downgrading Queue Managers
- Expert in defining and modifying MQ configurations such as Queue managers, queues, listener ports, channels, pub / sub, etc.
- Supported MQ queue managers running in a hub & spoke environment (MQ Clients)
- Perform tuning, issue research and resolution, and end user support
- Monitors execution and performance of messaging applications.
- Good experience in MQ Clustering.
- Experience with in product Fixpack installations and version upgrades of WebSphere MQ
- Knowledge on administration tasks using MQSC Commands
- Knowledge on MQ Backup Recovery process
- Oncall Ops Support coverage by participating in on-call rotation and planned weekends support
- Major Incident Support
- Experience with Linux / UNIX Systems
- Experience in security concepts and best practices and the implementation within the Middleware environments
- Good troubleshooting skills
- Developing and implementing MQ level monitoring solutions
- Cloud awareness and MQ related cloud implementations
