About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join JCPenney as a Loss Prevention Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure and safe environment for customers and associates alike. As a valued member of our Asset Protection team, you will be responsible for conducting surveillance, detaining and interviewing suspects, and maintaining records related to loss prevention activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Surveillance and Investigation: Conduct thorough surveillance of store areas to detect potential theft or suspicious activity, and collect evidence related to Organized Retail Crime (ORC) activity and fraud.
- Detection and Interviewing: Identify and interview customers and contractors suspected of theft, ensuring that all interactions are conducted in accordance with local laws and company policies.
- Record-Keeping and Evidence Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records using approved company methods, including proper retention of evidence and disposition of recovered merchandise.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations and handle difficult situations with discretion.
- Familiarity with company policies and procedures related to loss prevention and relevant local legal requirements.
