Job Description
The Fine and Performing Arts department is hiring two administrative assistants for the summer camp season. Each assistant will support either the Fine Arts or Performing Arts department with the following duties:
- Supporting the Fine Arts & Performing Arts Team by helping with administrative tasks for multiple arts camps each week, supply organization and prep work, supporting teaching artists, communicating with parents and other building staff, caring for campers, and helping them have a great camp experience.
- This position may need to help fill in as a camp program assistant or teaching artist in the event of an unexpected staff absence.
- Provide a high level of customer service for all participants and patrons at the Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center.
- May supervise camp participants during lunch and/or recreation time based on business need.
Duties and responsibilities, as required by business necessity may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing. Scheduling and shift assignments and work location may be changed at any time, as required by business necessity.
Job Requirements
- Strong administrative, organizational and communication skills are a must.
- Prior experience in either Fine Arts or Performing Arts is a must.
- Experience working with children in a formal or informal capacity is a must.
- Availability during the entirety of Summer Camp Season May 26th-August 15th
