Job Description
- Creates and plans team workouts.
- Conducts and coaches team workouts.
- Provides competitive swimming instruction to program members.
- Develops positive relationships with team members.
- Provides motivational support and guidance.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned.
- Salary: $20.00 per hour.
Physical, Environmental, and Special Working Conditions:
This work is typically performed while intermittently sitting, standing, stooping, walking, bending, or crouching. The work is typically performed in a pool environment, or office where the employee may be exposed to noise, dust, dirt, grease, machinery, with moving parts, contagious or infectious diseases.
Duties and responsibilities, as required by business necessity may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing. Scheduling and shift assignments and work location may be changed at any time, as required by business necessity.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- Preferred experience instructing adults.
- Background in swimming and general knowledge in competitive swimming.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Experience instructing adults.
- American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification. If not currently certified, compensated for attending Lifeguard Certification Course through JCPRD.
- Additional pay earned per hour for lifeguard certified marina workers.
JCPRD requires reference/background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department.
