Job Description
- Provides reception coverage for JCPRD Visitor Services; greets and assists on-site visitors; answers and processes calls to the district's main administrative phone number and the JCPRD registration call center; keeps entry way and reception area aesthetically pleasing with information well displayed and stocked; maintains at-a-glance information sheets detailing metro-wide parks and recreation resources and contact information; secures the front and back access doors at the end of each day.
- Assists with selling and reconciling District and State permit sales. Provides internal and external customer service, answering emails, phone calls, taking walk-in registrations and room/facility/shelter/hayride rentals, providing assistance, direction and information. Processes transfers, withdrawals, and refunds. Assists with mailings, marketing materials, and other special projects, as needed.
- Provides clerical support for Administrative Services; proofs and edits catalog and news releases; and special event packets; alpha sorts of documents and files; monitors JCPRD website to ensure information is accurate and up to date, assists with monitoring JCPRD's social media platforms.
- Works with the Registration Team to provide for efficient operation of the reception area when back-up coverage is needed.
Job Requirements
Minimum Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year customer service
- 1 year clerical/administrative work experience
- Attention to detail
- Basic mathematical and accounting skills
- Microsoft Office
- Keyboarding Ability
- Human Relations/Interpersonal skills
- Written communication skills, including business writing, report writing, summarizing and editing skills, oral commination's skills,
- Time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred Job Requirements:
Associate's degree; Analytical skills, including research skills, ability to interpret data, ability to conceptualize, and ability to analyze information.
