Job Description:
- Seasonal Park Worker for Lexington Lake Park shall assist in keeping the parks clean, safe, and inviting for patrons.
- The duties include turf maintenance such as mowing, string trimming and trash removal.
- Seasonal workers will be required to clean facilities and assist with construction projects, weed control, plant care, and tree trimming or removal.
- Seasonal Workers may be asked to drive a vehicle and use trailers as well.
- Seasonal Park Workers will be subjected to some heavy lifting, standing or walking for long periods of time, exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures, and loud machinery.
- There are many learning opportunities for applicants to benefit from in this position and many Seasonal Workers have moved into a full-time career with JCPRD.
Duties and responsibilities, as required by business necessity may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing. Scheduling and shift assignments and work location may be changed at any time, as required by business necessity.
Job Requirements:
- Applicants must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, clear background check.
- Must be 16 years of age or older. (Applicants under 18 years will not be allowed to drive district vehicles with a passenger.)
- Employees shall have reliable transportation and shall be at work on time. If employees are going to be late or absent, management shall be contacted prior.
JCPRD requires reference/background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department.
