About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at JCSI. As a key member of our Paint and Body Shop, you will be responsible for performing complex diagnostics and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair issues with heavy-duty vehicles in a timely and efficient manner.
- Conduct major body repairs, structural verifications, and painting tasks.
- Provide accurate repair cost estimates to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Train and mentor junior technicians to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of vehicle maintenance principles, methods, and techniques.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 6 years of experience as a body shop technician, with a focus on heavy-duty vehicles.
- At least 1 year of maintenance experience on transit vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of heavy-duty vehicle body repair, equipment repair cost estimation, and specialized tools.
