Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage audits for capital markets transactions, investment portfolios, and financial instruments.
- Provide oversight and technical guidance to junior staff, ensuring audits are performed efficiently and in compliance with industry regulations.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including portfolio managers, risk teams, and senior leadership, to evaluate the accuracy of financial reporting and internal controls.
- Oversee audits of complex capital market transactions, including securities, derivatives, and structured products.
- Advise on audit strategies and methodologies to assess risk, regulatory compliance, and internal controls.
- Prepare and deliver audit reports to senior management and clients, offering insights into audit findings and risk mitigation.
- Stay informed on emerging trends, regulations, and changes in accounting standards affecting capital markets and investment management.
Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CIA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Significant experience in audit management, particularly within capital markets or investment management sectors.
- Strong understanding of capital markets products (e.g., equities, fixed income, derivatives) and their impact on financial reporting.
- Expertise in US GAAP, IFRS, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Proven ability to lead audits from planning to execution, with a focus on managing client relationships and delivering high-quality results.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills to effectively manage teams and interact with senior stakeholders.
