What are the responsibilities and job description for the Property Underwriter position at JCW?
JCW is currently working on behalf of a rapidly growing MGA. Their Mono-Line Property Division is dedicated to providing customized underwriting solutions for retail brokers in the hospitality and real estate sectors, addressing property risks associated with bars, restaurants, nightclubs, hotels, motels, and offices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Underwriting: Assess, quote, and bind a diverse portfolio of new and renewal property business within designated sectors.
- Program Development: Work alongside the operations team to improve underwriting technology and workflows, driving ongoing enhancements.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate and sustain robust relationships with retail brokers, carrier partners, and reinsurers; negotiate reinsurance on an as-needed basis.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in commercial property underwriting, ideally within the excess and surplus (E&S) market.
- A Property and Casualty (P&C) producer license is required (can be obtained after hiring).
