JCW is partnered with a leader in transactional insurance, specializing in providing innovative solutions that protect clients from various tax and financial risks in mergers and acquisitions (M&A). They are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Analyst focused on tax insurance to join their team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of M&A tax experience within a public accounting firm, with a strong foundation in tax regulations and risk assessment as they relate to M&A transactions. In this role, you will work closely with senior management to analyze tax liabilities, develop underwriting solutions, and support the structuring of tax insurance policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tax Analysis and Underwriting: Evaluate tax risks associated with M&A transactions, including reviewing tax due diligence reports, assessing exposure, and working with underwriting teams to structure tax insurance solutions.
- Policy Structuring: Assist in structuring insurance policies that cover specific tax liabilities, including contingent tax exposures, by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Risk Assessment: Perform in-depth analyses of potential tax exposures related to mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and other transactions.
- Client and Partner Interaction: Support client relationships and provide clear communication with brokers, legal teams, and clients regarding coverage options and policy structures.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of M&A tax experience at a public accounting firm, with specific knowledge of tax regulations, transaction structuring, and liability assessment.
- JD, LLM is a plus.
- Ability to interpret complex tax regulations and assess their implications on transactions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
