Position Overview
We are partnering with a large, well-established Credit Union to expand their presence in the Hampton Roads metro market. This role involves sourcing commercial deals over $500K in size while providing mentorship and support to junior loan officers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new client relationships through referrals, networking, and existing connections.
- Collaborate with internal teams to expand existing relationships and acquire new clients.
- Mentor and support junior commercial loan officers in their career development.
- Lead the underwriting and approval process for conventional and SBA loans, ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory guidelines.
- Partner with credit analysts to prepare accurate credit memos and presentations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field (or equivalent experience).
- At least 5 years of commercial loan origination experience.
- Experience in underwriting and credit analysis of commercial loans.
- Proven ability to cross-sell financial products effectively.
