What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Credit Underwriter (C&I) position at JCW?
I've partnered with a growing full-service bank looking for a skilled Credit Underwriter to join the team. This role will support their (C&I) team, with a focus on the healthcare sector—particularly skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. You’ll handle the most complex transactions, perform detailed credit risk analysis, and prepare risk-focused credit proposals.
*** This role will be onsite 5days a week in their NYC officer***
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive financial and credit risk analyses for complex loan transactions, including financials, projections, industry trends, and compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with Lending Officers to ensure accurate, complete, and timely borrower information, participate in client meetings, and prepare risk-focused credit proposals for approval.
- Provide guidance to junior underwriters, address credit-related inquiries efficiently, and contribute to Credit Committee discussions and decisions.
- Support reporting and audit activities by completing monthly/quarterly reports and gathering information for internal audits and bank examiners.
Qualifications:
- At least 7 years in credit analysis/underwriting, ideally in C&I with a focus on healthcare underwriting (Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living facilities, etc.).
- Strong financial modeling, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive team player with a solid grasp of compliance and banking policies.
Salary : $145,000 - $185,000
