JCW Search is partnered with a regional bank in the search for a Senior Staff Accountant. This is a great opportunity to have direct exposure to and work with the bank's Controller as well as the CFO.
Position Overview:
This role involves managing financial reporting, regulatory filings, and internal control processes, while supporting the accounting team in various tasks and projects. The Senior Staff Accountant will contribute to month-end closing activities, assist with audits, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for the company and its subsidiaries.
- Oversee month-end close activities, including asset management, prepaid expenses, accruals, and investments.
- Generate reports for management and the Board of Directors on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Prepare and review regulatory filings, including 10-Q, 10-K, and FDIC Call Report schedules.
- Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure accurate reconciliation processes.
- Assist with the internal controls framework, including SOX compliance, control testing, and documentation.
- Act as a liaison with both internal and external auditors.
- Provide support for various finance projects and respond to ad-hoc requests from departments, management, and auditors.
Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
