We are seeking a Head of Last Mile to join us at the Americas HQ in Fontana, CA. This role will play an integral part in our leadership team to expand and grow our business in the Americas!

Key Responsibilities:
Carrier Management & Strategy
- Develop and manage relationships with national and regional last-mile carriers (e.g., USPS, UPS, FedEx, local couriers).
- Negotiate contracts, rates, and SLAs to drive cost-effective and high-performance delivery solutions.
- Evaluate and onboard new carrier partners to support coverage, capacity, and peak season readiness.
Operational Execution & Process Optimization
- Oversee daily last-mile operations, ensuring orders are dispatched, tracked, and delivered on time.
- Identify and implement process improvements in routing, packaging, and handoffs to reduce delivery time and cost per parcel.
- Manage delivery exception handling and service recovery processes to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Performance Analytics & Reporting
- Monitor last-mile KPIs including on-time delivery rate, cost per shipment, scan compliance, delivery exceptions, and customer satisfaction.
- Build and maintain dashboards to provide visibility to stakeholders and inform continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with analytics and product teams to test and implement delivery routing algorithms or workflow tools.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with Fulfillment, Inventory, Customer Support, and Tech/Product teams to align on outbound flows and exception handling.
- Lead weekly carrier performance reviews and quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
- Support strategic initiatives like same-day delivery, new geographic launches, or returns flow optimization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field. MBA a plus.
- 5 years of experience in last-mile logistics, eCommerce fulfillment, or transportation management.
- Deep understanding of last-mile carrier operations REQUIRED, delivery economics, and 3PL networks.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in tools like Excel, SQL, Tableau, or similar.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills; proven track record in vendor or carrier management.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with evolving priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with TMS, WMS, and routing optimization software.
- Exposure to DIM weight pricing models, zone-based pricing, or delivery incentive programs.
- Familiarity with peak planning, capacity forecasting, and seasonal surge operations.
