What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loss Prevention Risk Associate position at JD Finish Line?
The Loss Prevention Risk Associate is a support role for the LP Team. This position reviews exceptions from various LP software applications, makes determinations of the outcome of the exceptions, and initiates cases as needed. This role will also assist with coverage of the Receptionist desk as needed. This individual should effectively exhibit JD Finish Line’s core values of Customer, People, Winning, Community, and Financial Responsibility in everything they do by performing the following main duties:
- Assists with investigations involving theft, fraud, policy abuse, etc.
- Monitors POS transactions for fraud
- Gathers and documents evidence as it relates to theft incidents and policy abuse.
- Enters cases into the case management system
- On an ad-hoc/as-need basis, may provide coverage & receptionist duties for corporate office front desk & Distribution Center LP desk.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.

Required Education and/or Experience
Associate’s degree is preferred but not required, along with 1 - 2 years of experience in either retail, loss prevention, or with analytics; or equivalent experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Internal JD Finish Line experience strongly preferred.
Required Computer and/or Technical Skills
Should have basic to intermediate knowledge and abilities with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite Products and the technical ability to learn various loss prevention systems.
