Description
This is an eight-week program designed to fully immerse students in the day-to-day activities of an agriculture commodities trading company. The program consists of orientation where Interns learn about our culture, people, and the different business lines at JDH. The IT Internship program enables the individual to build relationships with internal customers and gain exposure to IT for an agriculture company. Duties may include working on projects to help position JDH to be able to leverage technology in the most efficient way. It is the blending of skills and knowledge in a fast paced, dynamic working environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Customer Experience
- Develop, build, and cultivate strong relationships with internal customers
- Participate and collaborate with IT Team
- Cybersecurity
- Support the adoption of Cybersecurity controls and policies
- Assist in performing vulnerability remediation
- Infrastructure
- Work on IT HelpDesk Tickets
- Complete support functions to help deliver and maintain computer systems
- Data Analytics
- Create reports & dashboards to provide critical information to the business
- Implement Data Analytics to help the business grow
- Software Development
- Support / Develop our ERP systems for finance, warehousing, and logistics
- Create custom apps for data integration with APIs and ETL tools
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Pursuing Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited program in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, IT, or related technology field.
- Overall 3.0 GPA or higher
- Junior or Senior
- Superior communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to work as an effective team player and add value to team
- Able to complete 8 week internship June – July
- Ability to work in Omaha, NE
Physical Demands
- Frequent sitting, use of computer, communication via telephone
- Ability to navigate an office environment.
