JD Ross is working with a leading EPC firm working on a Site Safety Lead to support utility / T&D projects within the region. This role plays a key part in ensuring workplace safety and regulatory compliance across multiple construction and energy project sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in construction meetings to address health and safety topics, provide insights, and respond to safety-related concerns.
- Maintain and enforce a comprehensive safety program that aligns with federal and state regulatory requirements.
- Oversee and update safety procedures manuals for field operations and subcontractor management.
- Support investigations into workplace incidents to determine root causes and identify potential hazards.
- Provide guidance and make recommendations to leadership regarding unsafe work conditions and corrective actions.
- Represent the safety team to client, contractors and other stakeholders and contribute to partner safety initiatives.
- Perform routine, unannounced safety inspections and audits at various project sites.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 5 years of safety experience in utilities, construction, or a related industry.
- Proven experience designing and implementing safety protocols in power or construction environments.
- Willingness to travel between project sites using a company-provided vehicle.
- Clean driving record and ability to pass a pre-employment motor vehicle screening.
