Job Title : Solar Design Engineer
Job Summary :
We are seeking a talented and motivated Solar Design Engineer to join client who's team are focused on commercial and industrial solar energy projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing solar power systems, strong technical expertise, and a passion for renewable energy. Experience with microgrid systems is a plus.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design Solar Energy Systems : Develop system designs, including PV array layouts, electrical wiring diagrams, inverter selections, and energy storage solutions for commercial and industrial clients.
- System Analysis & Optimization : Perform energy production simulations and load analysis to ensure designs meet performance, budget, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with Project Teams : Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure designs align with project goals, timelines, and cost estimates.
- Ensure Compliance : Ensure all designs adhere to local, state, and federal codes, industry standards (NEC, IEC, etc.), and customer specifications.
- Microgrid Integration (optional but preferred) : For candidates with microgrid experience, integrate solar solutions into microgrid systems, including energy storage, backup power systems, and advanced control systems.
- Prepare Documentation : Develop comprehensive design documentation, including technical specifications, single-line diagrams, and system proposals.
- Support Project Execution : Provide support during the installation and commissioning phases, including site visits and troubleshooting.
- Continuous Improvement : Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, particularly in solar energy and microgrid systems.
