Duties
- Greet customers as they enter the store and provide assistance as needed.
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring a smooth checkout experience.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and services to effectively upsell items to customers.
- Stock shelves and organize merchandise to ensure optimal presentation and accessibility for customers.
- Conduct product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting discrepancies.
- Utilize retail math skills to assist with pricing, markdowns, and sales analysis as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance overall store performance.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or a grocery store environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and operating POS systems is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
