What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equipment Handler/Delivery Driver 0225 position at JD YOUNG COMPANY?
The key role of this position is to provide delivery support for the Logistics Department. In addition, this individual will assist in the daily activities of the Logistics Department.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
- Loading and unloading equipment
- Help maintain machines and accessories and ensure they are put in the proper place
- Ensuring all accessories are with equipment i.e. manuals, cords trays, cassettes, etc.
- Un-boxing of equipment for set-up
- Care and appearance of equipment
- Help driving delivery truck
- Making sure equipment is strapped properly and securely
- Keeping trucks clean, maintained, and locked i.e. gas, water, oil tire pressure
- Properly completing all paperwork double checking all serial numbers
- Turning paperwork in promptly
- Cross-training in other Logistics positions
- Regular and reliable attendance and works well with others
Education and Experience Requirements :
Entry level position. Must be a team player and show initiative. This individual must demonstrate, without question, customer service skills, detailed oriented, ability to concentrate on quality of service, integrity, outstanding driving record, and willingness to learn other positions in the Logistics. Must have a professional appearance. This position requires daily lifting of equipment and accessories weighing up to one hundred fifty pounds, stooping and bending, use of hand tools, and working with and around electrical equipment up to 70 percent of the time each week. Typical hours are 8 : 00am to 5 : 00pm, Monday through Friday. This position requires accurate accounting for time and materials. Overtime is sometimes required outside the normal business hours and days. This position is designated as safety-sensitive per the Alcohol and Drug Free policy.
