Auto Body Technician
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician to join our team at JDM Collision.
The ideal candidate will have experience in collision repair, dent removal, frame straightening, and refinishing vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will work with a team of professionals to ensure high-quality repairs that meet OEM and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform body repairs, including dent removal, panel replacement, welding, and structural repairs.
- Conduct frame straightening using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Prepare vehicles for refinishing, including sanding, masking, and priming.
- Work with repair estimators to review damage assessments and repair plans.
- Ensure all repairs meet OEM specifications and industry standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while following all safety regulations.
- Use computerized measuring systems and repair documentation as required.
- Collaborate with paint technicians to ensure seamless repairs.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Auto Body Technician in a collision repair shop.
- Proficiency with welding, metalworking, and frame straightening equipment.
- Knowledge of OEM repair procedures and I-CAR training is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret repair estimates and work orders.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift heavy parts and work in a physically demanding environment.
Preferred Certifications:
- I-CAR certifications or willingness to obtain.
- ASE Certification in Collision Repair.
