What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fiber optic cable installer position at JE&R CONTRACTORS LLC?
- Conduct a route survey and inspection prior to cable installation
- Prepare Larson trailer and for loading cable reel in safety manner.
- Prepare Air Compressor and to hook up to the truck for transportation to the jobsite.
- Placed all materials needed for the day into the truck such as hoses, Cable lubricants include
polywater4, and GMP tornado blower machine.
- Setup and operate cable placing equipment such as Larson reels, fiber blowers, and cable
tuggers.
- During cable installation, the cable should be handled manually and store on the ground
carefully.
- Conduct and prepare safety measures, such as PPE, flags, cones, and other road work signs.
- Housekeeping should be placing as soon the job done and conduct a clear inspection.
- Interpret print underground piping as-built and blowing schedules
- Installation and preparing of fiber optic cabling
- Maintain inventory
- Installing, troubleshooting and repairing of cables, end user equipment and other telecommunication equipment.
- Establish, and enforce best practice processes for network planning, onsite configurations and monitoring.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
