POSITION SUMMARY
The HR Generalist will be responsible for managing a wide range of human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and training, providing comprehensive support to employees and ensuring adherence to company policies and employment laws across all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in developing and implementing recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates.
- Conduct initial screening interviews and coordinate with hiring managers throughout the selection process.
- Manage onboarding procedures, including new hire paperwork, orientation, and introductions to company culture.
- Manage offboarding procedures.
- Address employee concerns and complaints promptly and effectively.
- Facilitate conflict resolution between employees and managers.
- Provide guidance on company policies and procedures to employees.
- Support with communication of employee benefits plans to employees
- Assist with salary reviews and compensation adjustments.
- Maintain knowledge of federal and state employment laws and ensure company adherence.
- Conduct regular audits to identify potential compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare required employment documentation and reports for regulatory agencies.
- Identify training needs and develop training programs for employees at all levels.
- Facilitate training sessions and track employee development progress.
- Support employee career development initiatives.
- Provide feedback and coaching to employees on performance improvement in collaboration with management.
- Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files.
- Manage HR data and generate reports for management analysis.
- Update and maintain HR policies and procedures as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2 years of experience in Human Resources within a Hospitality setting a must
- Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in HR software and data management tools
- Ability to work in an ever-changing environment
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Strong work ethic and customer-focused approach
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be passionate, entrepreneurial, and dedicated to success
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
- Ability to sit at a desk for prolonged periods and working on a computer.
- Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the property.
- Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.
- Climbing steps regularly.
COMPENSATION
The base pay range for this position is between $65,000-$70,000 per annum. The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills, etc.
