Come join us as an AVP - Commercial Credit Analyst where under the direction of the VP - Commercial Lending you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties to assist in the support and management of the commercial loan department's loan portfolio, to help achieve the goals as established in the assigned department's annual operating plan; coordinating work within the department, as well as with other departments; complying with operating policies and procedures established for the credit analysis function; communicate with appropriate personnel; respond to inquiries or requests for information; maintaining appropriate records and provide assigned reports.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze and underwrite credit requests in a timely manner by leveraging the following resources: interactions with the loan team, meetings with customers/prospects, spreading tools, industry/market research, credit/financial due diligence, appraisals, web research, and other resources as necessary.
- Accurately identify loan policy exceptions as well as red flags during the analysis process (market risk, bankruptcies, late payments, past due taxes etc.) and bring those to the attention of the lender.
- Discuss deal structure, cash flow, collateral, and customer character with the lender.
- Prepare written analysis for new loans and modifications and present credit recommendations as directed.
- Manage existing portfolio of customers by tracking and preparing annual reviews of relationship obligations
- Review and recommend risk ratings within the portfolio.
- Prepare reports and minutes for senior management, loan committee and BOD.
- Accompany lender on customer calls and interact with customers, in person, and over the phone as needed.
Interact with financial professionals including CPA’s, CFO’s, listing agents, brokers, appraisers, etc. as needed to assist in the underwriting of credit memos and other tasks for the department.
Conducts market surveys through contact with brokers, online research, licensed database software (CoStar, Reis, MLSpin) etc. - Performs other related duties as required or directed.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Experience
Five years to eight years of similar or related experience.
Education
(1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).

Salary : $90,352 - $135,529
