WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
The CSA Department Manager will lead the Civil, Structural and Architectural teams, and be responsible for their development, training and deliverables of the department. Extensive experience is required in the process and manufacturing industries and in facility designs that contribute to meeting client business objectives.
- Manage a team of senior and junior engineers and architects, and be responsible for their billability and deliverables
- Support with the training and development of current staff, and the hiring of additional architects/engineers to support the growth of the team
- Define project scope with the ability to estimate labor effort to complete required deliverables on proposals and projects
- Collaborate with Project Managers and other Department Managers to ensure alignment on projects and forecasts
- Collaborate with the Vertical leaders to prepare proposals and presentation material to communicate concepts and project requirements to client as well as project team members
- Keep up on industry knowledge on respective disciplines
- Review client’s design standards and guidelines; document and evaluate existing conditions
- Travel as required to carry out job duties that may include travel to job sites, vendor sites, seminars and other destinations.

- BS/MS in Civil, Structural or Architecture
- Experience in leading teams in an engineering consulting environment
- Experience with managing billable hours and resource planning
- Strong interpersonal skills to build departments and mentor junior employees
- Experience in leading teams and encouraging the development of team members through their careers
- Experience in consulting or contract engineering
