Job Title: Quality Control Technician is responsible for ensuring quality products adhere to company specifications and regulations. Department: Quality Control, reporting directly to the Quality Control Lead at DreamFields Michigan in Hazel Park, MI. This role inspects products before, during, and after the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with applicable cannabis regulations and company standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect products to identify defects and accurately track types and quantities of defects.
- Review and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and specifications to ensure only products adhering to company and legal standards proceed to distribution or the next stage of the manufacturing process.
- Pass or reject products as necessary to ensure compliance with applicable cannabis regulations as well as DreamFields' specifications, policies, and procedures.
- Document inspection results by accurately counting and reporting quality-related data quarterly.
- Raise red flags and provide detailed notes to communicate quality- or compliance-related issues clearly and effectively.
- Collaborate with QC and/or production leadership and team members to contribute to error reduction and process enhancements.

- Meticulous attention to detail to inspect product and identify defects.
- Strong verbal communication skills to collaborate with others and professionally communicate quality-related issues.
- Problem-solving skills to recommend solutions to manufacturing defects in a fast-paced production environment.
- Able to maintain a high level of cleanliness, organization, and sanitary work environment in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Knowledge of and ability to uphold workplace health and safety standards.
- Knowledge of environmental and other manufacturing conditions necessary to achieve safe and high-quality cannabis products - strongly preferred.
Education and Experience:
- HS Diploma or GED.
- Experience in a quality control or quality assurance role, preferably in cannabis or a similarly highly regulated industry.
- Experience with accurate and timely data reporting - strongly preferred.
