Job Summary:

The Sanitation Technician is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across the facility. This role involves performing routine cleaning tasks to ensure a safe and sanitary environment, as well as assisting with various facility maintenance duties as required. The Sanitation Technician plays a key role in ensuring compliance with sanitation protocols, maintaining equipment, and contributing to the overall operational efficiency of the facility.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive cleaning of facility areas, including floors, bathrooms, and common spaces, following established sanitation procedures.
• Ensure company vehicles are cleaned and maintained regularly to meet hygiene standards.
• Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and trash removal.
• Assist with deep cleaning tasks, including cleaning ceiling vents, light fixtures, walls, and other hard-to-reach areas.
• Prepare areas for cleaning by moving or covering furniture, equipment, and other items as needed.
• Perform minor maintenance and repairs, including painting, patching walls, and basic plumbing tasks.
• Safely handle and use cleaning chemicals, solutions, and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and protocols.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety regulations to prevent accidents or injuries.
• Collaborate with other departments to assist with additional cleaning or maintenance tasks as required.
• Complete sanitation logs and documentation to track cleaning activities and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
• Report any facility or equipment issues to the Facilities Maintenance Manager for prompt resolution.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks that require continuous movement.
• Keen attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high sanitation standards.
• Punctuality and reliability in attendance and task completion.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of sanitation protocols and janitorial practices.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial work, or facility maintenance is preferred.
• Familiarity with the safe use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and sanitation practices

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and move continuously throughout the shift.
• Ability to safely use cleaning solutions, tools, and equipment, including brooms, mops, and trash receptacles.
• Capacity to perform repetitive physical tasks and maintain focus on detail-oriented duties for extended periods.
