Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud architecture, infrastructure, and security practices, along with deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform services to design and implement highly scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions for our clients.
As a Google Cloud Platform Architect, you will collaborate with development teams, operations, and other architects to design innovative and efficient cloud-based systems. You will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of Google Cloud Platform-based applications, ensuring best practices in cloud security, cost optimization, and system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cloud Architecture Design:
Design and implement cloud architectures using Google Cloud Platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance. - Cloud Migration:
Lead and execute cloud migration strategies from on-premise or other cloud providers to Google Cloud Platform, ensuring smooth transitions with minimal disruption. - Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
Utilize tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Deployment Manager to automate provisioning of cloud resources. - Security and Compliance:
Design secure cloud architectures following industry best practices, and implement robust security measures (e.g., IAM, encryption, VPC, firewalls, etc.). - Cost Optimization:
Develop strategies for cost-efficient use of Google Cloud Platform resources, ensuring that solutions meet budgetary constraints without sacrificing performance. - Collaboration and Support:
Work closely with DevOps, software development, and data engineering teams to support cloud deployments and ongoing maintenance. - Documentation and Training:
Provide technical documentation for architecture designs, implementations, and deployments. Conduct knowledge transfer and training sessions for internal teams.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5 years of experience in cloud architecture, with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
- Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform services, such as Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, and more.
- Strong understanding of cloud security best practices, identity management (IAM), and access controls.
- Experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Deployment Manager.
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud-native application development.
- Expertise in designing highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable systems on Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification or other relevant Google Cloud Platform certifications.
- Experience in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline development.
- Familiarity with serverless computing (Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, etc.).
- Experience in multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments.
- Knowledge of data engineering and machine learning services on Google Cloud Platform.
