Asbell Companies, a vertically integrated heavy equipment, trucking and land development company, is currently seeking a motivated Accounting Manager. Successful candidates will be well positioned to advance within the company while gaining exposure to all aspects of financial operations. The Accounting Manager will lead a team of 3-4 while navigating the demands of high-level accounting and balancing the need to process and review data. This position is on site based out of our corporate office in Carl Junction, MO.
Duties:
• Perform and oversee entry of daily sales and expense transactions
• Monitor cash accounts and perform regular reconciliations
• Oversee collection and organization of financial documents including invoices and receipts
• Identify and reconcile intercompany transactions
• Record month and year end closing transactions with assistance from accounting team members
• Assist with project costing and reporting as necessary
• Prepare financial statements with assistance from an outside accounting firm
